Focus Group: Combining Standards Based Instructional Management with Please join District leaders from Chicago Public Schools, Albemarle County Public Schools, Northside ISD and others for a collaborative discussion around the next generation of integrated software solutions designed to support instruction, learning and assessment in the classroom and beyond. Teachers will now have access to Schoolnet's Instructional Management Suite and our GradeSpeed gradebook, providing a variety of tools to track, manage and plan instruction and administer and record data from a variety of assessments, including summative, formative, observational and authentic. This future-focused session will focus on how these systems may come together in the future to allow teachers, leadership and parents to improve teaching and learning. Schoolnet Topic: Setting Up Your District Wide Benchmark Assessment Program Amy Zahodnik, Vice President, Client Services This session will focus on setting up your Schoolnet system to plan, administer and roll out your benchmark program to improve student achievement. The session will begin by demonstrating how other districts have used Schoolnet to align your benchmark program to your curriculum pacing (e.g. scope and sequence). Once the benchmarks have been administered, the next topic will focus on how to use Schoolnet's reports to analyze the data to inform instruction in the classroom. The final aspect of this topic will discuss how Schoolnet data reports can be presented to inform data discussions using existing capacity such as PLCs or data groups. Read more... Performance Targets: Using Schoolnet to Monitor Progress Andy Brenner, Vice President, Client Services Please join us as Schoolnet will provide a session focusing on dashboard and performance targets and using Schoolnet as a proxy throughout the year to monitor progress towards district performance targets. Current trends in education point to performance targets, performance report cards and other metrics that are defined by school districts and pushed out to Area’s and Schools. These are often seen in the form of area and school report cards with defined metrics and targets as goals to be attained by administrators. Come join us at this session to learn about using the KPI’s, Dashboards and reporting in Schoolnet’s IMS to monitor progress towards these performance targets. And are they the same skills students will need in order to be an active and informed citizen? Are we teaching and testing the skills that matter most? In this provocative talk based on his just-released book, Tony Wagner asks and answers some of the most essential questions for teaching and learning in the 21st century.
