Stephen O. Gibson , retired, is the former Principal of two different National Blue Ribbon Schools. He was awarded the prestigious title of Maryland State Principal of the year in 1997 and was also named a Washington Post Distinguished Educational Leader that same year. In 2002, Mr. Gibson was named a Maryland Distinguished Fellow, one of only three Principals in the State to ever receive that honor.
