Pam Tucker, Associate Professor, Curry School of Education

Pamela D. Tucker is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the Administration and Supervision in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Her research focuses on school leadership and a current grant project involves the development of enhanced decision making skills of school leaders through the use of interactive, online cases. Recent books coauthored with others include: Teachers’ Guide to School Turnarounds (Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, 2007), Linking Teacher Evaluation and Student Achievement (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, 2005), and Handbook for the Qualities of Effective Teachers (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, 2004). As a practitioner, Dr. Tucker has served as a science teacher, special education teacher and administrator, and coordinator for a state-level homeless education program.
